The “Self-Administration” authorities in northern Syria announced the imposition of a total ban in the “Euphrates Region” for a period of 10 days, starting next Saturday, in order to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
The “Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates Region” published a circular announcing the imposition of a total ban on the regions of the region, (which is the central region within the administrative division adopted by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and it includes both Ain al-Arab and Tal Abyad).
According to Circular No. 15 issued today, all commercial and industrial stores and shops selling fruits and vegetables are closed, as well as all places of worship, wedding halls and mourning tents.
All self-administration institutions, universities, schools, institutes, directorates, offices are also closed, except for those whose nature of work requires continuity.
The circular indicated that “to facilitate agricultural works, the checkpoints are opened daily from six to eight in the morning, and from five to seven in the evening.”
The circular indicated that these measures come based on the outcomes of a meeting of the crisis cell to confront the Corona virus, in the region, which was held earlier today, in addition to the reports of the Health Authority indicating a noticeable increase in the spread of the Corona virus in the region.
