The directorate called on all Saudis and residents to cooperate and report violators of the residency, work and border security regulations.
Last September, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of more than 15,000 violators of the residency, work and border security regulations, within just one week, and the deportation of more than 9,000 violators.
The ministry warned, “Anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security system into the Kingdom, or transfers them within it, or provides them with shelter, or provides them with any assistance or service in any way.”
She pointed out that the penalties “up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals (266,000 dollars), and the confiscation of the means of transportation and housing used for shelter, in addition to defaming it,” adding: “This crime is one of the major crimes that require arrest, and breach of honor and honesty,” and urged everyone to report any violations.
