Data released by the General Administration of Customs in China today showed that China’s trade surplus during September amounted to 66.7 billion dollars, while expectations were 46.8 billion dollars. And China’s exports increased during September by 28.1% annually, while analysts had expected an increase of 21%.
Imports also increased by 17.6% annually during September, while it was expected to increase by 20%. At the same time, China’s exports increased during the first nine months of 2021 by 33 percent, while imports during the same period increased by 32.6 percent annually.
China’s trade surplus during the first nine months of 2021 amounted to about $427.54 billion, compared to $362.49 billion during the first eight months of the year.
