Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated a video clip showing the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan in a restaurant in the Qatari capital, Doha.
In the circulating video clip, which was among those published by Al-Jazeera media, Haitham Abu Saleh and the Qatari media, Jaber Al-Harmi, the moment the Emir of Qatar and the Jordanian monarch entered a restaurant in the “Musheireb” area of Doha.
Emir had published a tweet welcoming King Abdullah II, in which he said: “I was pleased to meet my brother, His Majesty the King (Abdullah II) and the accompanying delegation in Qatar, where we discussed ways to strengthen the close brotherly relations between our two brotherly peoples in various areas of joint cooperation, and we also discussed developments in the region and ways to support Security and stability in the region, especially the developments in Palestine.
The Emir of Qatar received the Jordanian monarch in Doha, on Tuesday, where they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in the regional and international situations, according to the official Jordanian and Qatari news agencies.
And the Qatar News Agency reported that they held a session of official talks and reviewed “the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them, especially in the political, economic, investment, developmental and cultural fields.” Meanwhile, the Jordan News Agency reported that the talks “discussed the strong brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, and the developments of the situation regionally and internationally.”
