“Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: The Egyptian artist, Rania Youssef, announced her intention to donate her organs after death, about a week after her colleague Ilham Shaheen and the journalist writer and member of the Egyptian Parliament Farida Al-Shobashi announced the same thing.

According to the Egyptian newspaper, Al-Ahram, Rania wrote her will, and her statement came during a meeting with a number of journalists, behind the scenes of filming the series “The Mamluks.”

Rania answered a question put to her about the conflict of some religious views with her will, saying: “Everyone sleeps on the side that comforts him, the one who sees the sanctity of the dead does not do it, and the one who does not see it like this does it, our Lord created us free.”

She added that she sees in this matter “almsgiving, and a benefit to others” instead of eating her worms after death, as “a cornea, a heart, a man, or even a finger … can benefit from anyone who fully needs …”, as she put it.

The artist, Ilham Shaheen, had revealed her decision to donate all her body organs after her death, in media statements, and urged people to take a similar step in a video she posted on her Facebook page, in early October 2021, calling for the activation of the Egyptian law that was approved in this regard. ; “For the good, love and humanity of mankind”.

On the same day, the journalist writer and member of the Egyptian Parliament, Farida Al-Shoubashi, announced her donation of her organs after her death, and she addressed her followers through a video that she also posted on her Facebook account, saying: I am a donor of all my body organs after my death to anyone who needs them.” She wished recovery for all patients.
