The “Sakani” program in Saudi Arabia issued 1664 contracts for residential lands for the program’s beneficiaries during September as part of its various housing and financing options to facilitate the ownership of Saudi families in line with the objectives of the housing program to raise the ownership rate to 70% by 2030.
The program stated that the lands included 333 lands in Riyadh, 421 in Makkah, 143 in Sharqia, 115 in Jazan, 166 in Najran, 158 in Qassim, 82 in Hail, 39 in Asir, 49 in Al-Jawf, 5 in Al-Baha, 23 in the North, 32 in Medina and 98 in Tabuk.
He pointed out that this is an extension of the previously handed over land to families benefiting from housing support. He stressed that the procedures for issuing land contracts are continuing in all completed plans.
He explained that the plots of land amount to 500 square meters for the land, and reservation procedures and selection of the plan can be completed through “sakani”, which allows the feature to preview and choose the appropriate plan for land beneficiaries according to their desires and needs in the context of seeking to develop electronic services that facilitate ownership, according to the newspaper “Al-Iqtisadiah”.
It offers a number of housing options and financing solutions to meet the desires and aspirations of families, including benefiting from the subsidized real estate loan to purchase ready units, purchasing under construction units within “sakani” projects in partnership with the private sector, and benefiting from the subsidized real estate loan for self-construction for those who own land.
It is noteworthy that “Sakani” recorded the benefit of 145,000 Saudi families from the beginning of 2021 until August, and the number of families that resided in their homes reached 115 thousand families.
