The Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Company (GIE), a pioneer in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship programs and initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa, announced yesterday, Sunday, in cooperation with NASA, the launch of the International Space Applications Challenge in the UAE, for the second year in a row in the UAE. For the first time in the Sultanate of Oman, it is the largest annual competition for programmers in the world.

Six emirates are participating in the challenge with 450 competitors.

As for the Sultanate of Oman, it is participating for the first time in line with its future vision and implementation plans for the Oman 2040 Strategy.

The NASA International Challenge for Space Applications was held in the Sultanate of Oman in cooperation with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences as a main partner and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology as a community partner.

Eng. Mohamed Aboud, Chairman of the GIE Board of Directors, expressed his great happiness for the participation of the United Arab Emirates for the second year and the Sultanate of Oman for the first time.
