Soul and rock star Tina Turner has sold the music rights to her albums to music production company BMG, becoming the latest singer to strike such a deal.

BMG, owned by German media company Bertelsmann AG, said in a statement that it would become “a partner in all of Tina Turner’s musical affairs”.

The deal includes the 81-year-old Turner’s stake in her recordings, her music publisher’s stake, broadcasting rights, publicity, name and photos. BMG did not disclose the price it paid in the deal.

American singer Bob Dylan and British musician Mick Fleetwood concluded two similar deals last year, while Hypnosis Songs Company acquired the rights of a number of artists, including Neil Young and Shakira, taking advantage of the broadcast boom in light of the Corona virus pandemic.
