Yesterday, a bear attacked a worker in the “Al-Fanjan” zoo located in the Al-Dulai area, north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, while he was trying to feed him.
The worker who was working as an animal groomer was killed instantly.
The Parks Department mourned the young man on Facebook, saying, “The management and cadres of the Cup Gardens and Games mourn the deceased and one of its cadres, the employee (Hassan Al Hassan) while he was performing his work by feeding the animals.”
She added, “The deceased, may God have mercy on him, was a tamer of animals and a professional in his work, but an unexpected reaction from one of the animals when the deceased pulled out old food in order to change it, as he hit him on a sensitive place and died as a result.”
