Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed that Iran will continue to support Lebanon, saying: “We will stand by the Lebanese people with all our might to break the Lebanese sanctions.”
And Mehr News Agency reported that the Foreign Minister said, this morning, Thursday, upon his arrival in Beirut: “First of all, I congratulate the great and steadfast people of Lebanon on the formation of the new Lebanese government.”
“I am with my colleagues in Beirut to announce loudly that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its support for Lebanon,” he said.
“We will stand by the Lebanese with all our might to break the unjust siege on them,” he said.
Amir Abdullahian added: “We are confident that the Lebanese people will cross this difficult stage as victorious as in the past.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister is visiting Beirut to offer congratulations on the start of the new Lebanese government’s duties, and to hold talks with senior officials in this country.
