Beyond the game the next day in Glasgow against Scotland, the Football Association are busy promoting the chance to host the 2023 Bloomfield Conference League final, as revealed yesterday (Wednesday), on the sports channel.
Behind the scenes, the chairman of the Football Association, Oren Hasson, and the general manager, Yossi Sharabi, are working on the matter. The director of the national team, Guy Portniagin, and the deputy general manager, Ronen Hershko, have already submitted all the documents. The association noted that apart from Israel, the Czech Republic and Cyprus, this morning Greece also submitted a similar request.
Apart from the young Euros that previously took place in the country, and youth and boys tournaments, the association also passed on the recommendation that came after the French Super Cup game between Lille and PSG, after which it received compliments on the management. “We have received a message that our chances of hosting the conference final are the highest of all,” the association said.
If it gets a host, Israel will host the final of next season – which will be held in about a year and seven months. The first ever final match of the factory will be held at the end of the current season at the Arena Kombatara in Tirana, the capital of Albania, and the Football Association hopes that Bloomfield will be the second to host the factory final.
Among the intriguing teams taking part in this season’s conference are Tottenham, Roma, Partizan Belgrade and Feyenoord and Union Berlin – who play together with Maccabi Haifa at home. At this stage, Maccabi Tel Aviv is leading its home, while Maccabi Haifa is having a hard time and is still without a right goal.
