Foreigners record net purchases of 1.4 billion riyals in Saudi stocks in September

Foreign investors in the main Saudi stock market made net purchases of about 1.44 billion riyals during the month of September, supported by net purchases of qualified foreign investors by about 1.76 billion riyals last month.

According to Saudi Tadawul data, today, Sunday, the total value of purchases by foreign investors during last September amounted to 16.37 billion riyals, representing 11.07% of the total purchases, while the total value of sales transactions amounted to 14.93 billion riyals, representing 10.10%. of the total sales.

As for the value of the ownership of the “foreign investor”, it constituted 2.97% of the total market value of the listed shares as on September 30, 2021, a decrease of 0.01% compared to last August.

The transactions of foreign investors are divided into swap agreements, resident investors and others, qualified investors, managed portfolios, in addition to strategic investors.

The total purchases of qualified investors amounted to about 14.39 billion riyals last September, compared to total sales of about 12.62 billion riyals last September.

Saudi and Gulf investors bucked the trend of foreigners and recorded net sales of about 1.34 billion riyals and 97.98 million riyals, respectively.

The total value of the purchases of the “Saudi Investor” during last September amounted to 129.89 billion riyals, representing 87.85% of the total purchases, while the total values ​​of sales reached 131.23 billion riyals, representing 88.75% of the total sales.

As for the value of the ownership of the “Saudi Investor”, it constituted 96.52% of the total market value of the listed shares as on September 30, 2021, an increase of 0.01% compared to last August.

The total value of “Gulf Investor” purchases amounted to 1.60 billion riyals during last September, representing 1.09% of the total purchases, while the total value of sales reached 1.70 billion riyals, representing 1.15% of the total sales.

As for the value of the ownership of the “Gulf Investor”, it constituted 0.51% of the total market value of the listed shares as on September 30, 2021, a decrease of 0.004% compared to last August.

The total value of shares traded for the month of September 2021 amounted to about 147.86 billion riyals, a decrease of 4.05% compared to the previous month, while the total market value of the listed shares amounted to 10.07 trillion riyals at the end of last September, an increase of 2.46% compared to last August.
