The journalist, Ahmed Schubert, revealed the scenes of excluding Mohamed Sherif and Mohamed Magdy Afsha, the first football team players in Al-Ahly Club, from the list of Egypt’s national team for the Libya matches, on 8 and 11 October, in the World Cup qualifiers.
Schubert said, in televised statements, that the exclusion of Mohamed Sherif and Mohamed Magdy Afsha from the national team’s list in the two matches in Libya came due to a technical decision by the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz.
Schubert added: The entire list is the choice of Queiroz, and there is no basis for what was reported that the duo was excluded because of their stress, and everything that was reported in this regard is incorrect.
Schubert explained: No meetings took place from the assisting apparatus with the players excluded from the national team list, stressing: The players learned of the exclusion from the list through social networking sites.
