The technical staff of the Egyptian national team, led by Carlos Queiroz, decided to award the captaincy of the Pharaohs to Mohamed Salah, the English star of Liverpool, during the coming period in the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, despite the summoning of Ahmed Fathi, the Pyramids player, to the list of the national team for the list of Libya matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
And a crisis had previously erupted between the former technical staff of the Egyptian national team, led by Hossam El-Badry and Ahmed Fathi, over not giving him the badge of leadership of the Egyptian team, as the Pyramids player is more deserving of it, because he is the oldest player of the current generation of the Egyptian team.
And the Portuguese coach, Carlos Queiroz, the coach of the Egyptian national team, had previously stated that Mohamed Salah, the star of the English Liverpool team, is the leader of the Pharaohs during the current stage, and then Diaa El-Sayed came to confirm the information.
