Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Saudi authorities set, on Friday, the condition of obtaining two doses of the Corona virus vaccine in the event of a desire to enter government, private and educational activities and facilities and to use public transportation.
And the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source in the Ministry of Interior as saying that this came based on the recommendations of the health authorities on the importance of completing the taking of doses to control the outbreak of the epidemic.
The decision will be effective from 6 a.m. on Sunday, October 10, for those who want to “enter any economic, commercial, cultural, recreational, sports or tourism activity,” as well as “any cultural, scientific, social or recreational event.”
The two-dose requirement will also be applied to those who want to “enter any governmental or private facility, whether to perform business or audit”, in addition to boarding planes and public transportation.
And the Saudi authorities excluded a number of categories from taking the vaccine, according to what appears in the “Tawakkalna” application.
The total number of coronavirus cases registered in Saudi Arabia is 547,179, with 8,719 deaths. On Friday, the health authorities announced 45 new infections and 3 deaths.
