The World Bank confirmed that the UAE has taken care of supporting its human capital in the face of “Covid 19”, and protecting it from the repercussions resulting from its outbreak.
He pointed out in a report, yesterday, entitled “From the Crisis to a Green, Flexible and Comprehensive Recovery”, which is considered one of the parts of the “Annual Report 2021” to its role in helping some countries and regions of the world take measures to confront the repercussions of the pandemic.
The World Bank indicated that it provided advisory services to the UAE in supporting its human capital in the face of the repercussions of the pandemic, appreciating the government’s measures in this direction, as labor laws were amended to ensure gender equality in salaries, and also the decree issued by a federal law in August 2020, providing for granting the working father In the private sector, paid “parental leave” for a period of 5 working days to take care of his child, which is due from the date of the child’s birth until he completes 6 months, so that the UAE will be the first Arab country to take this step.
The report expected that the Middle East and North Africa region would achieve a growth of 2.2 percent at the end of this year, compared to a decline of 3.8 percent last year due to “Covid 19”.
