Al-Ahly club announced the departure of Nasser Maher, the team’s playmaker, for a final sale to the newly promoted club, Future FC, to the Premier League.
Amir Tawfiq, the club’s director of contracts and marketing, completed all financial and administrative matters related to the player’s transfer to his new club.
A source revealed, in exclusive statements to Laila Koura, that the deal cost Future approximately 18 million pounds, including 13 million pounds in cash paid to the Red Club.
The source, who refused to reveal his identity, said that the remaining five million pounds were put into the contract in the form of privileges in the percentage of participation and its impact on the goals of his new team and his joining the national team.
He added that the player was determined until the last moments to move to Pyramids, but the officials of the Red Castle requested 25 million pounds as a condition for his transfer to the Heavenly Club.
The source concluded, stressing that the player’s transfer contract to Future does not include any clauses regarding Al-Ahly’s eligibility to recover it when his new club wants to sell it, and there is no condition preventing his transfer to any club inside or outside Egypt at any time.
