In its introductory statement, the ministry stated that “in light of the structural reforms that the local economy has witnessed since the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in support of the development of public financial management, the Kingdom’s government has attached great importance to enhancing spending efficiency and increasing its effectiveness.”

She added that “in this context, the government worked to formulate a number of goals represented in achieving financial savings estimated at 200 billion riyals by the year 2023, and achieved more than the target by the year 2021, with savings estimated more than double, reaching the level of 502 billion riyals from 2018 to the fourth quarter.” second of 2021.
