A senior Indian official said that a multi-storey building collapsed as a result of a landslide caused by recent rains in the Indian state of Shimla on Thursday evening.
Sudesh Kumar Mukta, director of state disaster management, added that the accident occurred in Ghoda Choki near Halli Palace in Shimla at 5:45 pm yesterday local time.
He pointed out that there were no reports of injuries in the accident so far. A video of the collapse of the building spread on social media.
But the Minister of Urban Development told the news agency “ANI” that the government had ordered an investigation into the accident.
