Egypt’s squad to face Libya in the World Cup qualifiers

The technical staff of the Egyptian national team, led by Carlos Queiroz, announced the final list that will complete the team’s camp for the two Libya matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Portuguese coach for the Egyptian national team excluded a group of players after playing the Liberia match, before the professionals join the list next week.

The Egyptian team played against Liberia and managed to win 2-0, and the two goals of the match were scored by Mohamed Sherif.

And joined the list of the Egyptian team, Yasser Ibrahim and Ahmed Fathi, although they were not in the initial list.

The duo Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, Mohamed Sharif, Mustafa Fathi, Ahmed Tawfiq, Ahmed Samir, Muhannad Lashin and Mohamed Hamdi were also excluded, and from the professionals Sam Morsi, Karim Hafez, and Ahmed Yasser Rayan were also excluded.

The list includes 24 players:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Abu Jabal, Mohamed Bassam and Mohamed Sobhi.

Defense: Akram Tawfiq, Ahmed Fathi, Ahmed Hegazy and Baher Al-Mohammadi, Mahmoud Hamdi “Al Wensh”, Yasser Ibrahim, Ahmed Aboul Fotouh and Ayman Ashraf.

The middle: Mohamed Elneny, Amr Al-Sulayya, Tariq Hamed and Hamdi Fathi.

The attacking midfield: Ahmed Sayed “Zizou”, Mohamed Salah, Abdullah Al-Saeed, Ibrahim Adel, Ramadan Sobhi and Omar Marmoush.

Attack: Ahmed Hassan “Koka” and Mustafa Mohamed.
