WhatsApp will stop working on more Android and iPhone phones by November 2021

With 2021 coming to an end, and that means another round of WhatsApp ending up supporting some Android smartphones and iPhones, WhatsApp has shared the list of devices that will not support WhatsApp messaging as of November 1, 2021.

Generally speaking, these will be Android phones running Android 4.0.3 or lower, Apple iPhones running iOS 9 or earlier, and if you are using an older Android phone or iPhone, you may have to worry about WhatsApp support.

And if your Android phone isn’t even running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which was released in 2011, it’s time to get an upgrade, as it’s a different issue if your phone is compatible with Android upgrades and you haven’t.

In this case, just go to the Settings menu and select “About phone: to see which Android version you are running,” and if there is an update option available, tap on it to continue using WhatsApp.

For iPhone users, WhatsApp will only work on iOS 10 or higher, and the list of Android smartphones released from WhatsApp support does not include smartphones from brands such as Apple, Samsung, LG, ZTE, Huawei, Sony and Alcatel, as Apple phones include : iPhone SE, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
