The “Taliban” movement announced the establishment of a new military unit comprising hundreds of elements in the province of Zabul in the south of the country. The Taliban spokesman, Ahmadullah Wathiq, stated on his Twitter account that a new camp was opened in the province and the military training of about 400 “Mujahideen” in the “Zabul Brigade” began there. The opening ceremony of the camp was held in the presence of the Taliban-appointed governor of the state, Mawlawi Ibrahim Sahib, and the local police chief, Ayoub Akhundzadeh.
This comes against the background of reports of clashes between the “Taliban” and the “ISIS” in the province.
