It seems that the days of Ronald Koeman, coach of Barcelona, are numbered within the walls of the Catalan team.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has already decided to dismiss Koeman from his position after the next Atletico Madrid meeting.
Barcelona will meet Atletico Madrid on Saturday at the Wanda Metropolitano in the eighth round of the Spanish League.
The report indicated that Laporta’s idea is to appoint the new coach for the team before the club’s general assembly on October 17.
The report indicated that during the next two weeks, Koeman’s replacement will be chosen.
Barcelona suffered poor results during the current season, most notably its worst start in its history in the Champions League after being defeated in the first two matches with the same result against Bayern Munich and Benfica with three goals without a response.
In the league, Barcelona played six matches, winning three and drawing in the same number, and occupies sixth place with 12 points, five points ahead of leaders Real Madrid, and the Blaugrana has a lower meeting.
