The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that immunization with two doses of the vaccines against the emerging corona virus approved in the Kingdom is a condition for entering activities, events, facilities, boarding planes and public transportation, starting from next Sunday, October 10.
An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Interior confirmed in a statement, today, Friday, that the decision came based on what the health authorities submitted about what was proven by the competent national and international scientific authorities of the importance of completing the approved vaccine doses to control the spread of the virus, especially the mutated strains of it.
The source indicated that it was decided to require immunization with two doses of approved vaccines, starting at six in the morning on Sunday, October 10, to enter any economic, commercial, cultural, recreational, sports or tourism activity, or any cultural, scientific, social or recreational event.
He explained that the requirement for immunization includes entering any governmental or private facility, whether to perform work or audit, and board planes and public transportation.
He pointed out that the decision does not include the groups excluded from taking the vaccine, as shown in the “Tawakkalna” application.
The source stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the precautionary measures, preventive measures and approved protocols, and not to be lenient in that.
He explained that all procedures and measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the competent health authorities, according to the developments in the epidemiological situation.
The Kingdom began a wide national campaign to vaccinate the population against the coronavirus, in mid-December.
The Kingdom has approved 3 Corona vaccines on its soil; They are: “Pfizer-Biontech, Moderna, and AstraZeneca”.
