Saudi Arabia praised, on Friday, the launch of “Expo Dubai 2020” in the UAE, stressing that it “dedicates the values of innovation and progress.”
This came in a statement by the Saudi Ambassador to the UAE, Turki Al-Dakhil, on the occasion of the launch of “Expo Dubai 2020” under the slogan “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future”, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Al-Dakhil said: “The UAE is hosting this unique exhibition, with the participation of 192 countries, and for the first time in the region, to devote the values of innovation and progress, which are the result of the concerted efforts of people and their exchange of ideas in creative ways.”
He stressed that the distinguished Saudi participation in “Expo Dubai 2020” reflects the Kingdom’s diverse civil, cultural and economic components, and highlights the features of the brilliant future that falls within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its content of gigantic projects and ambitious strategic plans.
He added that the Saudi participation in the exhibition is gaining great importance through its large pavilion, which is located on an area of 13,000 square meters, to highlight the components of the Kingdom in the various cultural, heritage and economic fields in addition to its future vision, forming creative images to explore the Kingdom, drawing inspiration from its past and anticipating its present, while showing its ambitious vision. Through a creative template that reflects the cultural richness of the Kingdom, its nature and its diverse society.
He pointed out that the Kingdom’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, with its unique design and diversity of disciplines and cultures, was the focus of admiration and interest for visitors to the exhibition in the past two days.
He pointed out that this distinction came with the leadership’s interest and directives from the beginning to the work teams that the Saudi participation in the “Expo” befits the status and value of our country at the regional and international levels.
Al-Dakhil noted that what we are proud of is that the Kingdom’s pavilion at the Expo is attended by 300 young Saudi men and women, and they are the ones who professionally explain to the pavilion’s guests the sections, activities and events of the pavilion.
Ambassador Al-Dakhil thanked all those who contributed with effort in presenting the image of our country with transparency and professionalism in all stages of work on the pavilion from two years ago until its launch with the official opening.
