Renard chose Muhammad al-Owais, Zaid al-Bawardi, Fawaz al-Qarni, Muhammad al-Yami, Muhammad Khabrani, Abdullah Mado, Abd al-Ilah al-Omari, Ali al-Bilahi, Saud Abd al-Hamid, Hussein Qassem, Sultan al-Ghannam, Yasser al-Shahrani, Nasser al-Dosari, Ali al-Hassan, Abd al-Ilah al-Maliki, Muhammad Kanoo, Sami al-Naji, Salman al-Faraj, Muhammad al-Kwekibi, Fahd al-Mawlid and Abd al-Rahman Gharib, Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud, Ayman Yahya, Firas Al-Braikan and Saleh Al-Shehri.

The Saudi team occupies second place in the second group of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, with a goal difference behind the leaders Australia, in the group that also includes the teams of Japan, Oman, Vietnam and China.
