A Russian desire to continue investing in Lebanon?

The Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad, received in his office in the ministry, the Russian ambassador, Alexander Rudakov, at the head of a delegation, on a protocol visit for acquaintance. The discussion touched on bilateral relations between Russia and Lebanon, especially in the field of energy.

Fayyad stressed, “the importance of cooperation between the two countries in light of the current situation and Lebanon’s urgent needs in these vital sectors.”

In turn, the Russian ambassador expressed “the desire of Russian companies to continue investing in Lebanon through a package of projects presented in this context.”
