Egypt’s copper exports increased by 118% in 8 months

Egypt’s exports of copper and its products achieved $212 million in the period from January to August 2021, an increase of 118%, compared to $97 million in the same period in 2020.

The monthly report issued by the Export Council for Building Materials, of which Al-Ahram Gate obtained a copy, revealed that Turkey was in the first place, importing $58.076 million in the period from January to August 2021, compared to $22.869 million for the same period in 2020.

Algeria came in second place, registering 26.943 million dollars, compared to 32.744 million dollars, and Greece came third, registering 26.491 million dollars, compared to 4.822 million dollars.
The People’s Republic of China recorded $22.952 million, compared to $1.762 million, while Saudi Arabia recorded $21.798 million, compared to $1,084 million.

In sixth place, Lebanon came in at $20.797 million, compared to $4.525 million, and Sudan scored about $11.871 million, compared to $5.681 million.

Jordan recorded about 4.573 million dollars, compared to 5.716 million dollars, and Belgium recorded 2.699 million dollars, compared to 1.097 million dollars.
