The first men’s basketball team in Al-Ahly Club will play an important match today, Wednesday, when it faces its counterpart, the Misr Insurance team, in the framework of the semi-finals of the Cairo Region Championship.

The match is scheduled to start at eight in the evening at Cairo Stadium, and Al-Ahly seeks to win it and continue its strong performances after achieving victory in its previous confrontations in the tournament.

On the other hand, the Al-Ahly men’s basketball team came to the top of the third group in the Arab championship to be held at Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria during the period from September 29 to 9 October, and its group included: “Wydad Boufarik of Algeria”, Hadramout of Yemen, and Al-Fath “Saudi Arabia”. .

The tournament begins with qualifying matches that bring together 18 teams, where the matches of the first and second groups will be held in the Burj Al Arab hall, while the matches of the third and fourth groups will be held in the Alexandrian Union hall.

The draw resulted in the presence of Al-Ittihad of Alexandria in the first group teams, along with the clubs of Blida (Algeria), Al-Mina (Yemen), and Al-Fateh Al-Fateh (Morocco).

The second group included the clubs of Sharjah (Emirates), Al Yarmouk from Kuwait, Al Wakrah (Qatar), Greece (Sudan), Al-Zahra (Tunisia).

The fourth group includes the clubs of Beirut (Lebanon), Al Bataeh (Emirates), Kuwait of Kuwait, Al Gharafa (Qatar), Manama (Bahrain).

18 teams will participate in the tournament: Al Ittihad and Al Ahly from Egypt, Sharjah and Al Bataeh from the Emirates, Kuwait and Yarmouk from Kuwait, Al Mina and Shaab Hadramout from Yemen, Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah from Qatar, Al Greek from Sudan, Al Zahra Al Riyadi from Tunisia, Manama Bahrain, Beirut Lebanon, and Al Fateh. Saudi, Union of Moroccan Conquest, Wedad Boufarik and Blida from Algeria.
