In a statement today, Wednesday, the Somali ambassador noted the great boom that Egypt is witnessing in the field of higher education and scientific research at all levels, and its pioneering role in the field of education and scientific research, as it has had a great imprint in Africa and the Arab world throughout history.

The Somali ambassador in Cairo had participated in the work of the “First Regional Forum for Open Science in the Arab Countries” held at Al-Galalah University.

The Somali ambassador stressed the importance of the regional project “Supporting the consultation process in the field of open science in the Arab region”, which is being implemented by the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and thanked Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for what It provides support to African countries, especially Somalia, by providing facilities and facilities to Somali students and accepting them to study in Egyptian universities, and strengthening efforts to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, in a way that achieves their common interests and reflects the historical relations that unite Egypt and Somalia.

The Somali ambassador expressed his happiness for holding such forums, as they reflect Egypt’s great interest in learning and scientific research.
