The Ministry of Sports inaugurated the year 2021 by hosting the largest engine race “Dakar 2021” on January 2, for the second consecutive season, with the participation of more than 500 competitors from different countries of the world with a distance of more than 7,600 km. The race witnessed the success of five Saudi competitors in reaching the finish line of the rally. They are: Yazid Al-Rajhi and Saleh Al-Abdali, in addition to Yasser bin Saedan, Mishaal Al-Ghunaim and Saeed Al-Mouri, while the Argentine “Kevin Benavides” won the motorcycle category, and the Argentine “Manuel Andujar” won the motorcycle title, while in the light desert vehicles category, Chilean Francisco Lopez Contardo managed Who decided her title in his favour. In the city of Taif, the Saudi Camel Federation organized the third edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival, which is the largest race in the world for camels in terms of financial prizes and participating camels.
