The UAE believes that the strength of its relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents the historical depth and safety valve for both countries and all Arabs, as they are a model of stability, safety, growth and prosperity in the region.
The historical relations between the Emirates and the Kingdom in their official form were strengthened thanks to the efforts of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God rest his soul, who were keen on the approach of coordination and continuous cooperation between the two countries.

Over the past few years, the two countries have made great achievements in terms of unifying energies and promoting bilateral integration in all fields according to a clear vision that was strongly expressed by the determinants of the “Strategy of Resolve” and the outcomes of the “Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council”, and embodied by the alliance of the two countries in the “Decisive Storm” in defense. In June 2018, the UAE and Saudi Arabia raised the level of bilateral relations between them to unprecedented stages, which included a common vision for economic, development and military integration between the two countries through 44 joint strategic projects within the “Strategy of Resolve” that 350 officials from both countries worked on from 139 government, sovereign and military agencies. The economic and trade relations between the UAE and the Kingdom have constituted an exceptional and rich model of cooperation and solidarity, as Saudi Arabia is the first Arab trading partner and the third globally for the UAE, and it accounts for about 7% of the UAE’s non-oil trade with the world, and the two countries own the two largest Arab economies and are among the most important countries in the world. 10 global exporters, with a total value of exports of goods and services approaching $750 billion in 2018.

Tourism in the two countries supports the inter-trade and economic sectors, and is one of the most promising sectors that provide investment opportunities and attract more joint projects, to diversify the economic and commercial base in the two countries, especially after the UAE has allocated huge sums of money for the next ten years, to develop this sector, after the steady successes that It has achieved in attracting international tourism companies due to its basic ingredients that ensure the success of the tourism industry in it.

The cultural relations between the two countries embody the level of geographical and social interdependence between their peoples, and these relations have been strengthened through multiple channels, most notably the education sector, which in the beginning saw UAE students travel to Saudi Arabia to enroll in schools in Makkah, Al-Ahsa and Riyadh, while Emirati universities and institutes today receive a large number of Saudi students. .

The cultural relations between the two countries were represented at several levels, whether through the establishment of many joint agreements and programs, or at the level of cultural overlap between the university institutions working in this way and the creators and intellectuals in the two countries, within a vision based on the fact that the relationship between the two brotherly countries is strengthened by the relationship Two peoples with an extension, history and cultural, social, geographical and economic heritage.
