46 Palestinians injured in clashes with the Israeli army in the West Bank

Today, Friday, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured, after clashes broke out between the Israeli army and the Palestinians in several areas in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that 46 Palestinian civilians were injured in the village of Beit Dajan and the town of Beita, east of the city of Nablus in the West Bank, including five with rubber-coated bullets, 40 from suffocation due to inhaling tear gas, and one by falling while the Israeli army suppressed a peaceful march in the city. .

And local Palestinian media reported that hundreds of Palestinians participated in the weekly march, and it took place in the village of Beit Dajan in Nablus, in refusal to settle the settlement and in support of prisoners inside Israeli prisons, and when it reached the settlement outpost, it was suppressed by large forces of the Israeli army.

According to the official Wafa news agency, the Israeli army fired stun grenades, tear gas, rubber-coated metal bullets and live bullets at the Palestinian participants, causing injuries among them.

In the same context, a number of Palestinians suffocated with tear gas, after the Israeli army suppressed another peaceful march in the village of Al-Mughir, east of Ramallah.

According to the deputy head of the Al-Mughir village council, Marzouq Abu Naim, the Israeli army fired tear gas and sounded towards the citizens who went out in a peaceful march during which Friday prayers were performed, in refusal to close the eastern entrance to the village with earth mounds about two weeks ago.

The official Palestinian news agency quoted Abu Naim as saying, “The entrance closed by the occupation connects to the village lands, and is considered an essential artery to connect the Palestinian village with the villages and neighboring areas, especially the Nablus governorate, where citizens are forced to take bypass roads to reach their places.”

And last Friday, the Israeli army suppressed a number of marches in support of prisoners in different cities in the West Bank and Jerusalem, which led to the injury of dozens of Palestinians with bullets and gas.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that its teams “dealed with 40 injuries in the Nablus area as a result of the Israeli army’s use of metal bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse the demonstrators.”

He stated that the injuries were concentrated in the areas of Beita and Beit Dajan in the city of Nablus, where six civilians were injured by rubber gas, and 30 by tear gas, while another citizen was hit by a tear gas canister in the head fired by the Israeli army.
