The International Football Association (FIFA) announced today, Thursday, the monthly classification of national teams for the month of September.
The classification witnessed the decline of the Egyptian team by two places to become 48th in the world after the “Pharaohs” team was in 46th place.
The Egyptian national team had recently faced Angola and Gabon in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
And the Egyptian team succeeded in defeating Angola with a goal without a response, before the draw against Gabon, with a score of 1-1.
The Egyptian national team is expected to play the two matches of Libya in the third and fourth round of the same African qualifiers.
The ranking of the top 10 teams in Africa is as follows:
1- Senegal (20th place)
2- Tunisia (25th place)
3- Algeria (ranked 30)
4- Morocco (ranking 33)
5- Nigeria (ranked 34)
6- Egypt (ranked 48)
7- Ghana (ranking 53)
8- Côte d’Ivoire (54th place)
9- Cameroon (58th place)
10 – Mali (ranking 61)
