A man in his 50s drowned today (Tuesday) on the beach of the balcony on Ben Gurion Road in Bat Yam. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with medical treatment on the spot and performed resuscitation operations on him, at the end of which they were forced to determine his death.
MDA medics Ahmad Abu Saif and Doron Salimi said: “When we reached the beach, we saw the rescuers perform resuscitation operations on a man who was pulled unconscious from the water. We continued the medical treatment and performed advanced resuscitation operations that included resuscitation, massages and medication, but unfortunately in the end we had to determine his death. “
Meanwhile, during the night, a 40-year-old man drowned at Hilton Beach in Tel Aviv, MDA medics and paramedics provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital while performing resuscitation operations.
A paramedic on a MDA motorcycle, Gal Salhoub, said: “When we arrived at the beach, we were informed about the man who was missing in the water and who had lost contact with him. After about 20 minutes of searches with the help of civilians and the police, he was ejected to the shoreline unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing. “We immediately started medical treatment and performed resuscitation operations on him, put him in an intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital while continuing medical treatment when his condition was critical.”
Another incident took place yesterday, when a 40-year-old Holon resident drowned on the separate beach in Bat Yam. His death was determined after he was evacuated by medical teams to Wolfson Hospital as defined as in a critical condition, but despite resuscitation operations, his death was determined at the hospital.
