Anger sparked by the fact that a woman was beaten and dragged in front of pedestrians in Menoufia Governorate in Egypt, where a video documenting the incident spread widely on social media.
In the details, the woman submitted a report to the police, in which she said that the wedding hall owned by the man was causing inconvenience to the residents.
After the police arrived at the place and learned of the report, the man took revenge on the woman and assaulted her.

The security forces arrested the assailant. A security source in the Menoufia Security Directorate revealed that the incident occurred two days ago in front of a wedding hall in the city of Sirs El-Liyan, explaining that the aggressor of the woman was her “uncle”, and a police station report was issued.
He also added that the incident ended with reconciliation, as the woman waived the report issued against her uncle, who pledged not to harm her again.
