The Asian Handball Confederation announced that it granted the right to host the 20th Asian Men’s Championship “Qualifiers for the Men’s World Championship – Poland and Sweden 2023” to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation, after it was scheduled to be held in “Iran” during next January 2022.

This came after the meeting held by the Executive Committee of the Asian Confederation, during which it decided to withdraw the tournament from “Iran” and grant hosting to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from January 18-31 of next year 2022 AD, with the participation of Asian teams, where the top five teams will be awarded the qualification card for the World Cup “Poland-Sweden 2023”.

On the other hand, Mr. Fadel bin Ali Al-Nimr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation, extended his thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for its permanent support to the sports sector, to His Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, and His Deputy, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Assist in their follow-up and support for the hosting file, which came based on the Kingdom’s success in hosting the largest international tournaments and events.
