Uber Technologies, the US smart transportation services company, on Monday raised $1.5 billion in bonds to finance the acquisition of logistics company Trans Place, owned by financial investment firm TPG Capital.
Bloomberg News indicated that these bonds mature in 2029, and the proceeds will be used to pay part of the acquisition deal, along with related fees.

Uber Freight, the freight services arm of Uber Technologies, will expand its business by acquiring Trans Place, beyond the brokerage business between freight companies and trucking companies, Uber Freight president Lior Ron said when he announced the deal last month.
